Around Kitsap Help - Events

The Around Kitsap Events calendar is provided as a community service. We rely on YOU to help find and submit events. When events are all located in one place it makes it easy for all of us living in the Kitsap area to support our local activities.

We need your help!

The goal is to extend the calendar beyond the usual events, and to find and add those hard to find activities such as support groups, business classes, public meetings, call for volunteers, fundraisers, etc.

How much does it cost to add an event to the Around Kitsap calendar?

It's free.

Will my email address or phone number be shared? Will I land on a spam e-mail list?

We respect your privacy, we do not sell or share information.
When you have an event or product listing, some of the information becomes public. Anything that you can see on the website without being logged in, is public for the world to see. Always put your safety first.

We are a non-profit and send out press releases, can someone enter the events for us?

Not at this time.
We understand that non-profit organizations rely heavily on volunteers and hope to eventually have someone on staff who can enter events into the Around Kitsap Calendar. Until then, we appreciate your understanding that we are a grass roots one person company and concentrating our efforts on development and marketing, which you will benefit from.

We wouldn't be a community calendar without your activities - we urge you to take a moment to add them to the Around Kitsap calendar.

Why should we add events to the Around Kitsap Calendar?

Do you want your events to be found? There are over 7,000,000 websites, it takes a long time for people to research and find all the events in our area.

Please make it easy to find your activities! This would not be a community calendar without YOUR events!

We already have a calendar on our website, why should we duplicate efforts?

Can your calendar send a text reminder to your cell phone?
Can it send them e-mail reminders if the day/time changes?
There is a 5 times greater chance of someone showing up to your event if it's on their schedule - the Around Kitsap calendar makes it easy.

Can I enter recurring dates/times?

Yes! And it's easy to do.

After submitting an event, how do I change it?

You can send the changes to calendar@aroundkitsap.com and we'll be happy campers to change the information on the back end.

What kind of events can be added to the Around Kitsap calendar?

Just about any family friendly event/activity is welcome. Indicate if the event is catering to a specific group when it's not open to the general public.

Examples: Workshops, call for volunteers, entertainment, meetings, support groups, farmers markets, classes, volunteer work parties, call for artists/actors, art walks, exercise, marathons, sports events, fundraisers, festivals, galleries, sales, dances, parades, business networking, etc. If you're unsure, send us a quick e-mail calendar@aroundkitsap.com - a human will answer.
