If you're planning a garage sale, try pre-listing items in the Auction Shopping and have people pick things up the first day of the garage sale. No commissions and it's free to list items under $100.

• Pictures help your items sell!
• Descriptions - give as much information as you can.
Fixed prices are great for selling handmade items!
• Answer e-mails within 24-48 hours.
Give feedback, it helps the next person!
• Market your items, you know them better than anyone else. Tell you friends, family, neighbors, co-workers!
• Run your auctions through the weekend, it's when they get the most activity.
• Ship/deliver items as soon as possible, preferably within the first 48 hours unless other arrangements are made.

• Reserve prices - some people are discouraged by reserve prices. Instead, set the beginning bid price at the lowest amount you'll take.
• Setting prices - do your homework, it's always a balance to set a fair price for you and a price that will make the item sell. I've had some pleasant surprises when putting items on auction verses fixed prices.
